Radio Systems Engineering Co-Op

We're seeking talented students to join Sonos's Co-Op Program and explore what it means to blend creativity, technology, and sound. Our co-ops are an essential part of our team, bringing fresh ideas, learning from experts, and helping us push the boundaries of what's possible. Come broaden your skills, share your input and pursue your passion with our 6 month co-op experience.

Work Period: January 2026 - June 2026

Location & Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a minimum 4 days per week onsite in our Boston office. There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • In this role you will be working closely with hardware and software engineers to develop test and measurement solutions to simplify RF Transceiver characterization and regulatory compliance testing.

  • Design, develop and implement reliable solutions for radio system testing through all phases of the product development cycle.

  • Learn different facets of RF test, networking, and software development.

  • Develop/Optimize Python test software to collect and post process/analyze large amounts of test data.

  • Create technical documentation including test specifications, test flow, test hardware drawings, software release notes.

  • Drive continuous improvement activities, such as production efficiency improvements, yield improvements, test time reduction and process optimizations.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Basic Qualifications

  • Completion of 3+ years at a 4/5 year university while continuing to actively pursue a degree in EE or similar field.

  • Basic knowledge of test and verification equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, frequency/function generators.

  • Working knowledge of Python or other programming languages.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute development tasks independently with a "can-do" attitude.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Display courage to innovate and not be afraid to admit or make mistakes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Electromagnetics, Communication Theory, or RF/Microwave Engineering.

  • Fundamental understanding of RF Systems, RF components such as PAs, LNAs, matching networks, and antenna design.

  • Previous experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.

PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a College or University with a preferred field of study in Electrical Engineering

  • Available to participate in our full-time co-op program from January-June 2026

  • Ability to work out of our Boston office a minimum 4 days per week

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future. Sonos is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role at this time.
