This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Columbia Sportswear's dynamic global supply chain consists of 4 distribution centers, 430 retail stores, 80 apparel factories and 20 footwear factories worldwide. We pride ourselves on being able to get products to market quickly, safely, and in the most cost-effective manner. By leveraging data analytics, we are constantly pushing to make smarter business decisions and identifying innovative ways to make Columbia Sportswear's supply chain more efficient and effective to meet our consumers' ever-changing needs.

The Manager, DTC Allocation plays a critical role in driving inventory strategies across Columbia's fleet of retail stores and eCommerce channels. This role leads a team of Allocation Analysts and partners cross-functionally to ensure product is positioned to meet consumer demand, maximize sales, and support a seamless omnichannel experience. Experience working for a vertical retailer-where product development, merchandising, and sales are managed in-house-is highly preferred.

HOWYOU'LLMAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Lead and develop a team of Allocation Analysts to execute allocation strategies across DTC channels.
  • Build and refine allocation methodologies that support store clustering, product lifecycle management, and regional demand patterns.
  • Partner with Planning, Merchandising, and Store Operations to align allocation decisions with financial goals and assortment strategies.
  • Monitor in-season performance and make proactive adjustments to maximize sell-through and minimize markdown risk.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and DC Operations to ensure timely and accurate product flow to stores and eCommerce.
  • Support new store openings, remodels, and seasonal transitions with tailored allocation strategies.
  • Leverage reporting tools and analytics to identify opportunities and communicate results to cross-functional partners.
  • Champion system and process improvements that enhance allocation efficiency and accuracy.

YOUHAVE

  • 5+ years of experience in allocation, planning, or inventory management within the apparel, footwear, or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong proficiency in allocation systems, ERP tools, and Excel.
  • Deep understanding of retail store operations, product lifecycle, and omnichannel inventory strategies.
  • Experience with store clustering, size optimization, and regional assortment planning.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JDA, SAP, or similar allocation platforms.
