POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Native Corporation has an opportunity for a Finance Compliance Manager at our corporate office in Huntsville, Alabama.The Finance Government Compliance Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing finance related government compliance activities to include implementation and setup of indirect cost pools, government financial audit activities, indirect cost submissions, and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements. This role ensures accurate and timely preparation of incurred cost submissions, supports indirect rate management, and serves as the primary contact for financial government auditors.



  • Coordinate all DCAA, DCMA, and external audit activities, including audit requests, supporting documentation, and responses.
  • Prepare and review annual incurred cost submissions (ICS) and maintain audit-ready workpapers.
  • Support the development, reconciliation, analysis and monitoring of indirect rate pools.
  • Develop and submit provisional billing rates.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and company policies for cost allowability and allocability.
  • Maintain audit files, schedules, and supporting records to ensure audit readiness.
  • Assist in developing and updating policies, procedures, and internal controls related to compliance.
  • Provide guidance to finance staff and cross-functional teams on compliance requirements.
  • Track and communicate regulatory changes that impact government compliance.
  • Collaborate with accounting, contracts, and operations to ensure proper application of indirect rates.


Payrate:$100,000 to $120,000 Annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in government contracting accounting or compliance.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA audit requirements.
  • Experience with incurred cost submissions and indirect rate pool calculations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint required.

  • Ability to prepare and present clear, audit-ready documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work across departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
