Job Title: QA Inspector

Summary

Conduct Quality Assurance audits of company products and services assuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. Consult with management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems. Function as an information source to employees and various company departments when special and critical quality issues occur. This position description/summary reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor overall production process to ensure work procedure and requirements are in place and being followed.
  • Determine overall production quality by conducting inspections and evaluating various products tests.
  • Perform inspections and audits on various process and products to ensure conformance.
  • Confirm that shop and ship audit procedures are properly carried out and documented.
  • Conduct receiving inspections and resolve quality issues as they arise.
  • Draft and submit material deficiency reports as necessary.
  • Document nonconforming material. Ensure necessary rework or repairs are conducted and proper documentation is completed.
  • Provide documentation to acquire replacement material or necessary vendor to complete necessary repairs.
  • inspections, production facilities and onsite locations.
  • Educate and instruct shop and ship personnel in quality procedures, customer requirements, testing, and documentation. Confirm these procedures are being maintained.
  • Consult with production management and personnel with means to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Function as an information focal point for Team when critical quality issues arise.
  • Prepare production evaluation reports and submit them to Manager, Quality Assurance Services.
  • Assist in development of special department projects and work in conjunction with Manager.
  • Accept responsibility of training and preparing new employees for this position.
  • Performing internal audits.
  • Addressing non-conformities from previous internal and external audits.
  • Collect data for Management Review of the Quality System.
  • Manage Following-up on and closing pending Preventive and Corrective Action Requests. Monitor and conduct surveillance inspection to ensure corrective action implemented is effective.
  • Ensuring that organizational systems and training is in place.
  • Ensuring that documentation and design controls are appropriate for organization.
  • Administering document control and configuration management system.
  • Overseeing established calibration and testing program.
  • Assisting the management team and provide QA support as necessary.
  • Risk management

  • At least 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, should be combined with a demonstrated track-record of accomplishments as a Quality Assurance Technician.
  • Experience with Quality System rules, regulations, including planning and implementation is very important.
  • Oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities.
  • Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of PC-based computing experience (word processing-Word, spreadsheet-Excel, presentation- PowerPoint) is needed.

High school diploma or (GED)
