What to Expect

The Service Engineering teamis responsible forthe health, reliability, and serviceability of Tesla's Charging products deployed in the field.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager (Charging Initiatives), you will own the execution of service programs that address field-reported issues, as well as business- and customer experiencedrivenimprovements across Tesla's global charging fleet. This includes responding to factory, field, and design escalations; driving containment and corrective actions; and ensuring solutions arevalidatedand rolled out safely at scale.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with high ownership.You'llwork closely with engineering, operations, field service, and business partners to decide what to fix, how to fix it, and how to roll it out safely and efficiently-while continuously improving how service programs are executed.


What You'll Do
  • Own multiple charging service and improvement programs end-to-end, from intake through containment, root cause analysis, solution definition, rollout, and closure
  • Drivetimelyresponses to field failures, factory issues, design gaps, and business-driven customer experience requests, ensuring clear ownership, execution plans, and follow-through

  • Evaluate and recommend solution approaches that balance safety, reliability, customer impact, cost, and execution timelines

  • Work with business stakeholders to translate customer or operational pain points into clear requirements and executable plans

  • Track execution progress and fleet impact using data (spreadsheets, dashboards, scripting), and report clearly on status, risks, costs, and outcomes

  • Analyze real-world issues to uncover gaps between product assumptions, field behavior, and customer experience, and surface insights that inform design and validation improvements

  • Build andmaintainfeedback loops that capture service learnings and systematically feed them into design, validation, and manufacturing, continuously improving how service programs are executed


What You'll Bring
  • A strong engineering foundation in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 6+ years of experience in technical program management or engineering roles involving products deployed in the field

  • Experience coordinating across technical, operational, and business teams to drive complex initiatives from definition through rollout

  • Ability to balance business needs with execution realities, making sound tradeoffs when direction is unclear

  • Hands-on experience with data analysis and reporting (Excel, SQL, Python, dashboards, or similar) to track execution and inform decisions

  • Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical teams without direct authority

  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools to manage technical programs

    Expected Compensation
    $96,800 - $217,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
