We are seeking a
Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to join our Minneapolis, Denver, or Salt Lake City office. This position will work closely with MBD Managers to help support several of Dorsey's practice groups and industry groups and will take an active role in learning about these legal groups and developing the groups' and the firm's internal knowledge about its clients and business. You will also work closely with other Marketing and Business Development Managers and team members in different offices to coordinate marketing efforts. In this role, you will: - Coordinate office marketing and business development events, sponsorships, local and regional seminars and presentations, receptions and special events, including all aspects of event planning, execution and follow-up. - Prepare and assemble materials, brochures and promotional items for such event events, sponsorships, seminars and presentations. - Handle logistics for select firm sponsorships and galas, including ensuring that paperwork is completed and processed (e.g., payment, ads and logos), filling table seats, following up post-event to maximize benefits, and more. - Working closely with MBD Managers, provide support to select practice and industry groups. Work with groups to support in cross-selling efforts, implementation of practice group business plans, upkeep of practice group webpages, and tracking group experience. - Provide assistance to MBD team members in assembling marketing materials, including presentations, pitches and proposals. - Coordinate complex events and sponsorships calendars and related budgets for dynamic and busy regional offices. - Assist in preparation of ranking and award submissions, including Chambers, U.S. News-Best Lawyers and others. - Support the maintenance and effective use of marketing technology platforms and AI tools to enhance team efficiency. - Monitor the Marketing inbox on a regular basis, respond to routine requests, and route inquiries to the appropriate team members to ensure timely follow-up. - Contribute to implementation of firm-wide marketing and business development plan. - Establish relationships with regional organizations that align with Dorsey's practices and industry groups. - Assist Marketing business professionals (often working in conjunction with Information Resource Services) with client intelligence-gathering efforts. - May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above. What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree. - At least 1-2 years of related experience at a law firm or other professional services firm. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to handle a variety of projects at once and meet deadlines under intense time constraints. - Ability to work in a team environment. - Strong interpersonal skills and professional disposition. - Ability to work flexible hours to support and coordinate events. - Willing to travel on a limited basis as requested. This range represents Dorsey's good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting.
