Summary:
The Director reports directly to the Senior Director of Finance and assists with all aspects of accounting, budgeting, reporting and financial planning and analytic activities for the MHMG. With collaboration with MHMG finance leadership, this position will oversee development, implementation and management of physician compensation program across MHMG members and will be pivotal in developing and monitoring financial and operational benchmarks. The position also supports and collaborates with the MHMG Finance leadership and other members of the Senior Management Team, and other organizational managers to recommend and develop system process improvements in response to changes in the healthcare financial environment.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: A Masters of Business Administration or Master of Health Care Administration degree is required.
  2. License/Certifications: Credentials such as FHMA, FACHE, or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are preferred.
  3. Experience: Minimum of seven to ten years' of progressive financial management experience in a healthcare related environment with large organizations, exhibiting a strong understanding of accounting, internal controls and data analytics. Experience with physician practices is a plus.
  4. Expertise with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word software; experience with Lawson general ledger, decision support system software, Vizient Analytics Practice Insights, StrataJazz or similar analytical software preferred.
  5. Progressive in seeking and identifying financial system improvement activities.
  6. Previous leadership experience as team builder, mentor and coach
  7. Strong interpersonal and professional skills to interface successfully with physicians, company administrative staff, and hospital staff
  8. Broad understanding of financial aspects of practice management with analytical and computer skills associated with financial modeling and budgeting
  9. Financial budgeting experience with ability to participate in annual forecast, budgets, and growth planning strategy
  10. Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to think independently, make decisions as required
  11. Effective communication and presentation skills for all levels of the Company
  12. Skills managing operating expense budgets and recommend/implement cost saving opportunities
  13. Proficient computer skills with knowledge of electronic medical records
  14. Exceptional customer service skills
  15. Experience in managing and developing a team of professionals
  16. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines without fail
  17. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  18. Excellent communication and training skills.
