Overview

This is a hybrid role that can only be hired in North Carolina, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

The Digital Analytics team plays a critical role in this mission by turning raw data into actionable insights. We partner closely with Product, Go-to-Market, Customer Support, UX, Technology, and Enterprise Data and Governance teams to build the digital analytics foundation that empowers better decision-making and a seamless customer journey.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement gathering
    • You can translate business questions into analytics tasks, create roadmap for analytics needs and capture various uses cases for operational reporting, Business Intelligence, analytical AI, Gen AI.
    • Identify various data sources and system of records.
    • Capture and report data quality issues at the source impacting client and business critical reporting
    • Interview the stakeholders, capture, and understand end-user requirements.
    • Effectively use tools like data mapping documents, specification templates, project plan or JIRA to capture and communicate stakeholder requirements and timelines.
    • Use the right prioritization and scoping framework to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Insight Generation & Strategic Analysis
    • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities and deliver impactful insights.
    • You are responsible for analysis at the highest level of complexity and data expertise.
    • Conduct deep-dive analyses on banking products, client behavior, and performance trends.
    • Develop executive-ready presentations that translate data into strategic recommendations.
  • Technical Excellence
    • Use SQL and Python (or similar programming languages) to extract, analyze, and visualize data.
    • Build scalable analytical solutions and automate recurring processes.
    • Collaborate with the development team to build and improve data workflows and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and collaborate with data analysts, engineers and scientist to build customized analytical solutions, customized data and ML models.
    • Leverage a suite of tools like Tableau, Power BI, Quantum Metric etc., to build high performing and scalable analytical dashboards.
    • Maintain the dashboard repository and reduce redundant solutions by partnering with cross functional analytics teams and learning the various reports already available within the organization.
    • Contribute to establishing standards and best practices for the analytics org.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with digital product, UX, customer support, technology and enterprise data team to align analytics with business priorities.
    • Serve as a thought partner to stakeholders, helping them interpret data and make informed decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Analytics, preferably within banking or financial services OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Analytics, preferably within banking or financial services

Preferred Area of Study

Computer science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or relevant fields

Preferred Education Level

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or relevant fields with 6 plus years of experience. Master's degree is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience & Domain Knowledge
    • 7+ years of experience in analytics, preferably within banking or financial services.
    • Strong understanding of banking products, client segmentation, and business strategy.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient in SQL and Python (or other programming languages with a willingness to learn Python).
    • ETL and data modelling background
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a must.
  • Communication & Influence
    • Excellent team player with a "can do" attitude.
    • An active listener who can capture the detail requirements and make the most out of the meetings.
    • A facilitator who can stir the discussions in the right directions.
    • A problem solver with the ability to distill complex data into simple, compelling insights.
    • Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
