Description

In this position, you will be joining the successful Mobile Solutions Business (MSB) at Skyworks. You will be responsible for driving Automotive, IoT, Wearable, CPE & M.2 market segments within the organization.

The scope of responsibilities includes identifying new product opportunities, new and existing external product evangelization, business case generation, pricing strategy/negotiation, associated go to market strategies, and chipset partnerships. Additional activities include overall horizontal market segment strategy (Market modeling, tracking segment trends and dynamics, competitive threat analysis and R&D investment recommendations). This is a key position driving our continued growth in horizontal market segments by expanding our content footprint by leveraging the broad product portfolio of Skyworks.

You will work collaboratively with the Sales, Product Definition Team, Systems Engineering, Application Engineering and Product Line Management to develop winning product roadmaps and associated strategies. Key performance metrics include accretive revenue growth, market share expansion and content diversification.

Responsibilities

  • Create the overall market vision, strategy, and roadmaps with resultant business plans
  • Create and maintain outbound product promotion material
  • Evangelize your vision, strategy and roadmaps with the customer base
  • Build and maintain product road maps in close collaboration with the product definition team
  • Own and maintain the the product concept funnel
  • Ensure that product justifications are well researched, justified and structured to gain maximum ROI for Skyworks and market penetration growth
  • Partner with the product definition team to ensure proper product definitions needed to execute the segment strategies you create will meet financial projections you set and own in alignment with product line managers P&L plans
  • Maintain close alignment with the sales organization, track and drive opportunities to closure via strategies you create and tactical management including recurring alignment calls
  • Create product collateral and product support documentation to be used for customer facing activities
  • Own and manage the product pricing strategy which results in gross margins exceeding that for the BU and corporate averages
  • In conjunction with the sales and demand management teams, ensure the accurate forecast management of product in production and in development
  • Collaborate with product line management to create strategy and plan for managing product life (EOL, PCN) messaging to sales and customers, directly assisting with negotiations when needed
  • Lead marcom planning and strategies in conjunction with the MARCOM team, including trade shows, industry events, website maintenance, social media, white paper creation, demos, social media and more
  • Create training materials and conduct ongoing training for sales, distributors, sales representatives

Required Experience and Skills

  • BS or B. Eng in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field, MBA or financial analytics exposure
  • 15 years of related experience
  • Team player mentality & self-motivated
  • Minimum five years of previous experience with Cellular RFFE
  • Experience with direct customer communication and support for RF products
  • Well versed in RF Technologies (Cellular, WiFi, BT/BLE, GNSS, etc)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Data Management skills
  • Prior experience working with chipset partners such as MediaTek or Qualcomm preferred
  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors, to drive alignment and collaboration
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters
  • Demonstrated ability to confront tough issues and contribute to collaborative solutions
  • Native fluent Mandarin, written and speaking, strongly preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time, domestic and international

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities and who finds satisfaction in being accountable to accomplishing results quickly and accurately. Confident and articulate, the candiate is comfortable engaging and communicating with all levels of internal and external customer management in a persuasive but succinct and accurate manner. Experience with RF semiconductor market and working in a global, matrixed organization.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$139,100 -$278,300 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
