Desktop & Education Support Specialist - 4-Month Contract Location: Columbus, OH \| Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM \| On-site Only Step into a vital technical support role that keeps the digital heartbeat of a major academic institution running smoothly. What You'll Be Doing * Provide on-site desktop support across a select group of campus buildings * Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows and Mac OS platforms * Set up and deploy new workstations, peripherals, and AV equipment * Maintain classroom technology including video projection, audio systems, and computing devices * Perform emergency repairs and preventive maintenance in instructional spaces * Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure proper use of technology and identify training needs * Track outages, document support activities, and manage inventory * Lead complex help desk assignments and serve as an escalation point when needed What You Bring * Minimum 2 years of experience supporting desktop systems in a networked environment * Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows and Mac OS * Familiarity with AV systems used in classrooms and event spaces * Excellent customer service and communication skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team * Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and scheduling Work Environment * Based at Mount Hall on West Campus * 100% on-site role with virtual interviews available * Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM * May require occasional flexibility for evenings or weekends Why This Role Stands Out * Be part of a team that's described as "like electricity and water"-essential to daily operations * Immediate start with potential to build long-term trust and visibility * Opportunity to support a meaningful mission in education and innovation * Work directly with end users in a dynamic, fast-paced campus setting If you're ready to bring your technical expertise to a role that truly matters, this is your chance to make an impact-one classroom, one workstation, one solution at a time. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
