Job Overview

The IT Development Engineer I ([Domain]) is responsible for the development, configuration, and testing of applications and processes as per the technical requirements and specifications for the application and identifying opportunities for improvement and, or automation of existing processes. This position will also troubleshoot and resolve testing issues; focus on programming and configuration of IT Systems Software including software for use in operating, controlling hardware, and providing a platform for running internal end-user, business applications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with IT and Business Teammates to understand business processes and identify areas of improvement.
  • Coordinate with business partners to re-imagine and improve business processes as appropriate
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and support Processes using [Domain] processes in alignment with Data Management and CCCI best practices
  • Contribute to the CCCI shared library of [Domain] components and best practices
  • Participates in rotational on-call support, maintenance activities and other duties as determined by the team
  • Writes code in lower-level (i.e. JAVA, C-Sharp, .Net) programming languages to optimize the performance and efficiency of an organization's IT platform and infrastructure
  • Configures customizes, diagnoses, and enhances SAAS, Off the Shelf, In-House Developed or 3rd Party supplied systems software including operating systems software and utilities that manage access to peripherals, facilitate networking, manage memory allocation
  • Writes diagnostic programs to test integrated software, hardware systems and resolve system faults to indicate that the program is not functioning properly or meeting the technical, functional requirements
  • Participates and actively contributes to the following Agile Scrum events, as well as Backlog Grooming, including Sprint - a time box of 1-4 weeks during which a useable and potentially releasable increment of work is completed
  • Sprint Planning - an event where the team determines what they can confidently complete in the upcoming Sprint, and self-organizes to plan the tasks needed to do so
  • Daily Standup - 15-minute time-boxed event held every day of the Sprint for the Agile team to plan work for the next 24 hours. This optimizes team collaboration and performance
  • Sprint Review - held at the end of the Sprint for the agile team to share with stakeholders what was done in the Sprint, elicit their feedback, and agree on the next Sprint's work to optimize value to the business
  • Sprint Retrospective - held at the end of the Sprint for continuous improvement of the team where the team inspects itself and creates a plan for improvements to be enacted during the next sprint
  • Backlog Grooming - breaking down high-level ideas into independent, estimable, and testable increments of useable and potentially releasable units of work that can be completed within a Sprint
  • Creates technical documentation of systems software programs and code to be leveraged for audit purposes and documents why the program was built

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to design well-structured and efficient Data Management processes and objects following standard principles and practices
  • Ability to proactively coordinate security related best practices and solutions with IT security and agile delivery teams
  • Ability to document, evangelize, and guide adoption and implementations across agile delivery teams
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-solving abilitiesStrong understanding of data
  • Fundamental software development principles, methods, and practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
  • 1-3 Years of Agile Delivery in a Matrixed Organizational Structure
  • 1-3 Years of SDLC and CI, CD experience - Tools, Frameworks and best practices
  • 1-3 Years MS Azure Environment Development experience
  • 1-2 Years MS Azure DevOps operational (pipeline) experience
  • 1-2 Years experience in Domain-specific framework development
  • 1-3 Years of Data integrations and exchange frameworks (jSON, XML, EDI)
  • SSIS, DBT, Snowflake and data warehousing Specific Experience is Mandatory

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in AI and ML Technology
  • Agile Delivery in a Matrixed organizational Structure
  • MS Azure Environment Development experience
  • MS Azure DevOps or GIT experience
  • Familiarity with data integrations and exchange frameworks (jSON, XML, EDI)
  • BS in Computer Science or Information Technology related field
  • Certification in Integration tools, Data warehousing, Snowflake
