Summary/Objective

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) training program is an integrated, multi-platform system for training pilots, maintainers, and intelligence personnel from the U.S. and partner nations. The program emphasizes an immersive, simulated environment to provide cost-effective and realistic training before students ever touch a live aircraft. The ideal candidate will serve as an Imagery Manipulation Team member in support of 3D simulations.

Essential Functions

  • Adjust large imagery sets to blend seamlessly between sources.
  • Utilize the Geographic Imager plugin for Photoshop to import and export spatially referenced raster graphics.
  • Identify, Isolate, and correct graphical artifacts.
  • Move large data sets via command line functions such as robocopy and xcopy.

Specific Required Skills:

  • Experience with 2D imagery manipulation software specifically Adobe Photoshop, and the Adobe software suit.
  • Portfolio demonstrating work experience and/or personal projects
  • Art test demonstrating skill proficiency may be required

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with color balancing large imagery formats such as TIFFs and GeoTIFFs
  • Experience with manual pixel manipulation through graphics package tools, filters, and adjustment layers.
  • Experience with geographic information system software packages such as Global Mapper and Esri ArcGIS
  • Knowledge of Modeling and Simulation for DoD

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities but could occasionally direct or provide guidance to some employees on the project.

Work Environment

This is not a remote position. Work is located at an on-site position (customer location).

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in digital arts, computer science, or other relevant degree.
  • 0-3 years of experience as a graphic artist.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to Obtain a Secret level security clearance
