Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Supervisor to join our production operations group to lead assembling and testing world-class drones. As a member of the PDW leadership team, you will play an active role in the day-day manufacturing activities and initiatives that result in high-quality products.
As a PDW Electro-Mechanical Assembly Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to work with world-class drone experts, assemble cutting-edge aircraft, and grow with the company. - Oversee, support, and coordinate assembly of drone electro-mechanical sub-systems and final assemblies
- Coordination with production management, material handling, quality, design engineering, and test flight operations to ensure product quality, line continuity, and efficiency
- Ensure PDW assemblers are trained and utilizing work instructions, critical to quality product characteristics, oversight for cross training, and adherence to established quality and work standards
- Coordinate execution of production to ensure quality product for on-time delivery to customers.
- Collaborate with design engineering to implement engineering changes and new products by partnering closely with technical team, production control, supply chain, and manufacturing engineering.
- Oversee and coordinate the service and rework of products as necessary
- Direct management and elevation of issues, problems, and progressand partner with solutioning
- Ensure continuous improvement awareness and willingness to collaborate to improve processes
Requirements
- 1-3 years experience in Supervision or Team Lead Capacity
- Experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering preferred or equivalent work experience
- Experience assembling and troubleshooting drones, vehicles, or aircrafts is highly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience managing performance metrics, problem solving, and bottleneck resolution
- Exposure to, or experience in, an ISO9001-2015 / AS9100 quality environment
- Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies such as 5S, line balancing, problem solving, Kanban, waste reduction, etc.
- Experience using Microsoft Officeproducts
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, with occasional heavier lifting
- Employee must be able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods, as well as push, pull, and maneuver carts and packages
- Manual dexterity is necessary for handling
- Loading and unloading materials manually, pallet jack, or forklift
Work Environment
- Operates primarily in a professional, climate-controlled office, warehouse, manufacturing and shipping environment. At times, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety gloves, goggles, and hearing protection may be required.
- Employee may also work where they may be exposed to the elements, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM, with occasional overtime as operational needs may require.
- Fast paced environment with moving, packing, delivering materials
