Senior Product Manager - Salesforce to lead enterprise-wide Salesforce initiatives across a complex, matrixed organization. This role will be responsible for driving the strategy, roadmap, execution, and adoption of Salesforce solutions that support Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other business units. The ideal candidate will combine deep Salesforce expertise with strong product management skills to maximize the value of our CRM platform across all segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Roadmap Ownership: Own the multi-year Salesforce roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise architecture.

  • Backlog Prioritization: Prioritize and manage the Salesforce feature request backlog to maximize value delivery and maintain alignment with strategic objectives

  • Agile Planning & Delivery: Lead cross-functional teams through the planning, execution, and delivery of Salesforce initiatives, including facilitation of Agile/SAFe Program Increment (PI) planning sessions and objective setting. Oversee multiple concurrent Salesforce projects, ensuring on-time delivery and quality outcomes

  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with Salesforce and implementation partners, coordinating external resources and vendor deliverables as needed.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (sales, marketing, customer success, etc.) and technical teams, ensuring requirements are translated into scalable Salesforce solutions

  • Workshops & Requirements Gathering: Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and executive briefings to drive consensus on priorities and solution design.

  • Change Management & Adoption: Develop and execute change management strategies to drive user adoption, training, and communication for new Salesforce features, minimizing disruption to business operations.

  • Data Integrity & Governance: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations across all Salesforce orgs. Maintain comprehensive documentation and enforce governance standards for Salesforce configuration and usage.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and usage metrics for Salesforce (e.g., user adoption rates, data quality, sales process efficiency) to assess impact and identify areas for improvement

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current on Salesforce releases, emerging technologies (e.g., AI, automation tools), and best practices. Identify opportunities to leverage new features or integrations to improve user experience and business outcomes

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Less years required if has relevant Master's or Doctorate qualifications.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with tools like Jira (for backlog management), Smartsheet (project tracking), Tableau (reporting/analytics), and Highspot (sales enablement).

  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, pipeline management, and lead-to-opportunity conversion best practices.

  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions, leveraging automation and integrations where appropriate.

  • Familiarity with change management frameworks and user training methodologies to drive technology adoption.

Critical Skills

    • Salesforce Expertise: 8+ years of experience working with Salesforce in a Product Manager or Product Owner capacity. Deep knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud (and preferably Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, CPQ, Einstein, and Analytics) and how to leverage it to support business processes.

    • Product Management Experience: Proven success managing large-scale CRM initiatives in a matrixed enterprise environment. Strong skills in product roadmap development, requirements definition, and iterative delivery.

    • Agile Methodology: Experience with Agile development methodologies; familiarity with scaled Agile (SAFe) practices and leading Program Increment planning is highly desirable.

    • Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence without direct authority and drive consensus across diverse teams. Demonstrated executive presence and experience reporting to senior leadership.

    • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). Project management and/or Salesforce certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, Salesforce Administrator or App Builder) are preferred.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.     Our Base Pay Range for this position

    $146,600 - $244,400
