The Paralegal provides support to Legal Services by researching and preparing findings, documents, and correspondence on a variety of legal matters; coordinating the legal review of contracts; and providing administrative support to internal counsel.

Essential Functions
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
Conducts legal research on a variety of topics such as precedents, ordinances, and applicable existing Federal/State case law; evaluates, summarizes and presents research findings.
Prepares a variety of correspondence and legal documents utilizing technical knowledge of legal formats, terminology, and procedures.
Drafts and maintains contract templates; prepares contract reviews for attorneys, ensuring draft contracts are complete and ready for legal review; coordinates contract workflow through the organization's contract lifecycle management system.
Facilitates responses to subpoenas for records (patient, employment, research, etc.) by researching and gathering appropriate information from internal sources and working with counsel to prepare motions.
Reviews summons and complaints and working with appropriate internal stakeholder to respond to or resolve summon/complaint. Files trademarks and trade names with the State of Colorado; works with counsel to complete federal trademark filings.
Provides administrative support for internal counsel by maintaining calendars, taking meeting minutes, and triaging phone calls; processes invoices for payment, ensuring the accuracy of charges for outside counsel.
Serves as first point of contact for Legal Services, providing information and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on internal legal and contracting processes and procedures.
Provides support and coordination for the organization's contract management system and processes as well as the department's contract management functions.
Minimum Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Associate's degree.
- EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal setting.
- EQUIVALENCY: Two (2) years of related experience, above stated requirements, may substitute for the Associate's degree. Two (2) years of related experience, above stated requirements, may substitute for the Paralegal certificate.
- CERTIFICATION(S): Paralegal certificate.

Hourly Range: $34.44 to $51.66
