Overview 
 
 Bluewater Federal is looking for a Protected Distributed Systems Inspector to support the Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command, the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Perform daily PDS inspections (365 days/year) across NSWCDD facilities in deliberately random order and times, maintain inspection logs, sustain/update official PDS drawings and building infrastructure packages, prepare TEMPEST Request (TRQ) packages and PDS approval requests, and support cable plant QA for classified/unclassified networks-responding on site within 1 hour when incidents or after hours outages require actionConduct daily PDS inspections and document results in the PDS daily log reportMaintain, update, and deliver PDS drawings (minimum annually) and install updated communications shed drawings after moves/adds/changes; keep functional area logical diagrams currentDevelop, submit, and track TEMPEST Request (TRQ) packages and PDS approval requests to NIWC per Government approved processesDevelop and maintain Building Infrastructure Drawing packages (cable tray pathways, comm room layouts, drop locations, logical connectivity, cabinet layouts, legends)Maintain and deliver Communications DiagramsPerform/coordinate physical infrastructure installation tasks (racks, UPS, WAPs, routers/switches, patch panels, inside/outside fiber and copper, and PDS elements)Execute QA assessments of cable plant per Government QA procedures; maintain generated documentation in the approved repository/locationSupport after hours incident response (on site within 1 hour) for PDS/network physical incidents, coordinating with Security, O&M, and IT leads; prepare end user notifications when required. Qualifications
 
 
 
 2+ years of professional experience in facility technical operation and maintenanceMust have an active Secret clearanceWorking knowledge of PDS standards and practices for classified infrastructure; understanding of TEMPEST fundamentals sufficient to compile accurate TRQ packages and comply with Navy guidance.Skill in producing/maintaining as built and topology drawings in tools compatible with Government systems (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio).Familiarity with cable plant installation methods, materials, labeling, documentation, and quality assurance in DoD facilitiesAbility to manage daily randomized inspections year round; strong fieldwork discipline, documentation rigor, and cross team coordinationDoD CWF / DoD 8570.01 M: Maintain applicable baseline certification (as designated) and complete required training BlueWater Federal Solutions is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
