INVISTA is a global leader in the production of polymers and fibers, driving innovation while maintaining a strong focus on safety and sustainability. Our Cyber Security team is committed to ensuring the protection of INVISTA's digital infrastructure and operations globally.

The Cyber Security Analyst Internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, with a strong emphasis on implementing and improving cybersecurity reporting and metrics. In this role, you will collaborate with security experts and leverage data analytics tools to help INVISTA measure and enhance its security posture.

What You Will Do

  • Reporting & Metrics Development: Assist in designing and implementing cybersecurity-related dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Use data analytics tools to extract meaningful insights from security data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support Incident Management: Collaborate with the team to enhance incident tracking and reporting using tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Tool Utilization: Work with tools such as Power BI, Excel, and ServiceNow to support reporting and visualization needs.
  • Collaborative Projects: Partner with IT, business stakeholders, and cybersecurity leaders to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve current reporting and metrics processes and recommend automation where applicable.
  • Cybersecurity Awareness: Support the team in creating reports that communicate risks, compliance, and threat metrics to leadership.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program related to one of the following areas: Cyber Security, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related IT field
  • Eligible for full-time employment by August 2027
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a Visa transfer or Visa sponsorship
  • Initiative, natural curiosity, strong communication skills and an aptitude for fast-paced learning
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security concepts.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, advanced formulas).
  • Experience or familiarity with ServiceNow or similar tools for incident management and reporting is a plus.
  • Interest in developing and present security metrics that support business decision-making.
