Principal Geospatial Scientist

The role will be part of a team that will develop, enhance and support the processes. Processes to include raster and vector datasets and services by which data products would be received, reviewed, managed, stored, and cataloged by Integrity within a Government system using designated geospatial formats, schema, and packaging.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of specialized experience or Master's degree plus 10 years of specialized experience or High School diploma plus 10 years of specialized experience




  • Specialized experience as defined for this project includes the ability to Provide systems engineering and administration support to the Client Geospatial Management Office.




Desired Skillsets we are looking for but not limited to:




  • Ability to effectively consult with stakeholders to capture and refine requirements, then translate those needs into defined, actionable project plans or technical decision points.





  • Experience with coding languages such as Python in an Esri Enterprise GIS environment.





  • Demonstrated understanding of the Esri Enterprise architecture with hands-on experience in managing geospatial content (e.g., Hosted Feature Services) and developing front-end user applications using Web Maps, Experience Builder, and Survey123 Connect





  • Skilled in documenting code for maintainability and applying quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) best practices throughout the development lifecycle





  • Grasping of key performance indicators (KPIs) and data metrics. Experience with business intelligence software (e.g., MS Power BI, Google Analytics) to visualize and analyze data is a plus.





  • Proven ability to work with raw data, draw meaningful insights, and clearly communicate findings.


  • Familiarity with project and task management within an Agile environment, specifically using tools like Maestro and Jira, and the ability to document daily work progress
