This job posting is for a temporary (11-month), 20-40 hour per week Database Development/Data Analytics Associate. The position will be with the Sweetpotato and Potato Breeding and Genetics lab at
NCSU and possibly other cooperators at
NCSU. Our lab is a leading force in breeding new sweetpotato varieties for the growers in North Carolina, as well as those growing sweetpotato around the world! We apply both traditional and molecular breeding techniques to solve emerging problems in the field, such as pathogens, drought, and changing markets. Our website:

Primary duties include:
- Assisting with research
- Electronic data capture using FieldBook APP
- Entry of data into the Breedbase database environment that the program uses
- Occasional support of computer IT needs across the programs and support of our advanced data analytical processing needs
- Other duties as assigned

- 4 year degree; or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience

- Experience with collecting research data electronically
