Significant barriers to entry exist at this level. Assists with defining standards/objectives and assists with leading configuration, build, installation and support of Epic pharmacy applications including Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory and Beacon. Applies comprehensive knowledge of professional concepts and industry practices to lead the most complex projects of large size and scope that have critical impact throughout the health system. Partners with subject matter experts and other Epic application leadership to ensure build consistency and a successful end-to-end patient centric workflow. Assists with defining and directing build to support medication billing. Works closely with Pharmacy management and IT leadership on the build and configuration of pharmaceutical products to support safe ordering. Assists team leaders as the team liaison to Epic resources, clinical & business process champions. Assists with development and execution of action plans to remove project barriers relative to the specific application build. Monitors all issues that arise for the application area and escalate unresolved issues and barriers to prevent gaps in timing and quality. Works within established change control procedures for system build and changes. Act as the primary expert and support contact for the Willow/Beacon applications and integration with ADS systems.

- Epic Willow Inpatient certification. If no certification, must obtain certification within the first 3 months of employment
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- 5 years of clinical information systems experience.
- Assists with initiating, leading, and directing large and complex projects, expert on multiple aspects of electronical health records and other clinical applications with emphasis on medications related data elements and workflows.
- Expert resource to find and resolve issues in systems analysis and testing for pharmacy clinical information systems.
- Expert skills in data analysis, synthesis, and reporting methods
- Expert knowledge of pharmacy related clinical applications operations, systems, and functions, including planning, design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and valuation
- Expert level problem solving skills to issues of the most complex nature, and can quickly diagnose problems
- Develop, test, and deploy appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner
- Expert proficiency in interpersonal communication to effectively train, support, and collaborate productively with clinical users, management, and key stakeholders at all professional and technical levels
- Highly developed skills and expertise in project management
- Assist with directing project successfully from inception to completion on task and on schedule
- Highly skilled written and verbal communication skills - Analytical skills and expertise in documentation and reporting
