Systems Engineer

a.i. solutions is seeking a highly-motivated Systems Engineer to support the Reagan Test Site (RTS) Engineering and Technical Services (RETS) Program in Huntsville, AL. The Systems Engineer will support missile test missions by operating radar systems, becoming the Sensor Test Director and working to solve complex system test and operational problems. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for complex missile flight tests.
• Assist senior engineers with risk management assessment and software/hardware development of test configurations.
• Serve on console to support real-time flight test execution as instrumentation controller or analytical position.
• Assist other systems engineers in diagnostic efforts related to problems uncovered by system tests.
• Ability to learn and understand how to perform routine calibrations and make recommendations for improvements and modifications.
• Engage, learn, and share lessons experienced.
• Work closely with senior engineers and remote staff to accomplish engineering activities.
• Execute simultaneous tasks within defined parameters.
• Support occasional travel to remote location.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering/science discipline
• 2+ years of experience in Systems Engineering roles
• Obtain a DoD secret security clearance prior to start

Desired Background:

• Radar engineering, operations and maintenance experience desired.
• MATLAB experience
• Ability to use Lite programming abilities in UNIX/LINUX.
• Understanding of radar fundamentals and electro-magnetic wave theory.
• Ability to quickly connect in-person and in writing, and to actively listen and perceive the needs, values or opinions of others
• Demonstrated leadership accomplishments professionally and personally
• Proactivity in identifying and addressing challenges to include innovations that result in positive organizational impact
