Purpose of Position
The Master Data Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining "Master Data" in the FlightSafety SAP systems that is critical to the delivery, billing and financial reporting of training courses offered by FlightSafety Learning Centers by performing the following duties.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Overall Objective:
- Improve financial profits for FlightSafety by assisting Master Data Manager in defining and recommending the process (es) for collecting, maintaining and using Master Data in making business decisions.
- Maintain Master Data integrity by adhering to the quality control process.Research/Documentation/Report Activities:-Use defined business processes for collection and maintenance of Master Data within the FlightSafety SAP system-Responsible for the research and collection of information needed to create SAP materials and subsequent Bill of Materials (BOMs) and datasets.
- Collect end-user comments and feedback and prioritize those issues for a Manager Review report.
- Maintain research and communications with regards to material approvals and creation.
- Responsible for making changes to operational data with respect to Center Information, Regulatory Approval Numbers (#s) and Equipment Databases.
- Adhere to strict guidelines for data creation and maintenance.
- Write manual documentation, as required.Teamwork
Internal and External Activities:
- In conjunction with the Master Data Manager, act as Liaison/Point-Of-Contact between the Corporate Business Systems functional group and the Corporate Finance functional group.
- Provide recommendations to Master Data Manager in order to improve data accuracy, integrity and reduce costs in FlightSafety's business processes.
- Interact with the Information Technology (IT) department, internal customers, and outside vendors to support end-user requests.
- Responsible for distribution of communications to the field regarding new material creation and changes.
- Oversee and coordinate the material approval process and advise unit leaders of status at regular intervals.
- Interact with Finance, Operations and Standards, Marketing, and Business Systems as well as other internal customers and outside vendors to support end-user requests.
Daily Responsibilities:

- Report, on a timely basis, any safety hazards observed in work area, equipment, and/or building to appropriate person(s) for correction.
- Participate in the Quality Management System (QMS) activities at assigned site and adhere to the processes related to accomplishing the site's QMS goals.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prioritize workflow on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Travel, as required. Attend formal initial and recurrent training program(s) for Data Managers, as required.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency (G.E.D. - demonstrated satisfactory performance in the General Educational Development Testing Program)
Minimum Experience
- Two to three (2-3) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; equivalency years experience substitution must be in related field.
- One to two (1-2) years' work experience needs to be in a business office environment.
- One to two (1-2) years' employment with FlightSafety that includes a demonstrable understanding of FSI's basic operations, business processes and the use of the SAP system (especially the Orion function) in developing and retrieving information needed to make business decisions.
- Previous experience working within a SAP system is required. Basic understanding of SAP product hierarchy and Bill of Material (BOM) structure preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read and write. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Type/keyboard 40+ wpm (computer user with minimum typing/keyboard skills), preferred.
- Knowledge of IT systems is a plusKnowledge of management principles and their applications.
- Project Management skills are essential.
- Self-starter who is goal oriented and willing to work with other individuals throughout the enterprise.Ability to work unsupervised, as needed.
- Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional mannerAbility to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure situations.

- Corporate: SAP ECC, SAP CRM, Enterprise Applications, ORION, Logbook, SalesLogix, preferred.
- General knowledge of the following software: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook.Schedule-MS OutlookDatabase:-MS Access, preferred.
- Other software programs may be required, as needed.
