Description: Our client and leader in Financial Services, is seeking an experienced Firewall Engineer, with solid Cybersecurity knowledge, to join a growing Information Security team in a hybrid work setting based in Charlotte or Brevard, NC. *Applicants must within a commutable distance, or willing to relocate to one of these locations for a 12-month engagement. This role sits onsite 3X/week with 2 days remote. * * * In this contingent resource assignment, you will: * Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within the Information Security Engineering team and contributes to large-scale planning related to Information Security Engineering deliverables. * Review and analyze moderately complex Information Security Engineering challenges that require an * in-depth evaluation of variable factors. * Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Information Security Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. * Collaborate with client personnel in Information Security Engineering. * Lead security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security Architecture, Principal Engineers, and Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security standards Required Qualifications: * 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, preferably with Palo Alto Firewalls * Understanding of Security Frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK * Excellent understanding in Network Security products (E.g., Palo Alto, Akamai, Cisco) * Excellent knowledge of network security tools (e.g., Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxies, NAC). * Network Security Experience including work in firewalls, firewall rules/policies * Ability to independently research, compile, and perform in-depth analysis with strong * problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills. Skills/Tags: Firewall, Paloalto, Network, Cybersecurity, NIST, MTRE ATT&CK Experience Level: Intermediate Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $55.00/hr.
