DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing advanced manufacturing work in the production or processing of products or services. Your duties will involve instructing, training, and supervising inmates in industry practices, methods, and procedures. You will also provide demonstrations, explanations, and close supervision during training and work assignments. Other responsibilities include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of assigned inmates, as well as maintaining training, progress, wage, and attendance records for them. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining established standards of quality and quantity through regular inspections of equipment, raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods. Furthermore, you will be in charge of the maintenance and repair of factory equipment.

- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,868.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or
- An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
