Overview

The Director of Sales for Ambius North America is a critical leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion across the region. This role leads a high-performing sales team, develops and executes strategic sales plans, and fosters a culture of success. The Director is accountable for achieving ambitious revenue targets, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This role exists to ensure Ambius capitalizes on market opportunities, strengthens its position as the industry leader, and delivers exceptional solutions to create healthier and more inspiring spaces. This role is ultimately accountable for driving sales excellence, contributing to Ambius' continued growth, and meeting the expectations of the Ambius leadership team, regional sales teams, and clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Champions new ideas and initiatives to improve sales processes, service offerings, and customer experiences, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the sales team.

  • Proactively identifies and assesses potential risks and challenges that could impact sales performance, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.

  • Develops and communicates a compelling vision for the future of the sales organization, setting long-term goals and strategies that inspire and motivate the team

  • Collaborate with Ambius Regional Directors and Regional Sales Managers to set and achieve challenging regional sales goals, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, partners, and industry influencers, to effectively communicate sales strategies, negotiate favorable outcomes, and foster long-term collaboration.

  • Effectively collaborates and aligns with various departments across the organization, including marketing, operations, finance, and product development, to ensure cohesive execution of sales strategies.

  • Lead the implementation of new sales technologies, methodologies, and best practices, driving organizational change to enhance sales effectiveness and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Develop and implement sales policies and procedures, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of personnel, budget, and other critical resources to maximize sales effectiveness

  • Proactively identify and address obstacles hindering sales performance, leveraging data analysis and critical thinking to develop and implement effective solutions

Candidate Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field OR equivalent years of experience. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of applicable professional experience for each year of college requested.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive sales leadership is required

  • Experience in construction-related projects / project management

  • Experience in consultative design sales process

Skills & Competencies

  • Outstanding communication skills (including presentation skills) with a demonstrated ability to influence at all levels with a range of internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience in construction-related projects / project management.

  • Experience in consultative design sales process.

  • Highly commercial and entrepreneurial with an attestable customer focus and growth mindset.

  • Excellent people management skills with demonstrable experience leading a large, dispersed, and diverse workforce across multiple locations and geographies.

  • Maintains sound judgment and attention to detail under pressure
