OverviewMicrosoft is seeking a highly qualified candidate to join the team as a General LAB Support Hardware Engineer. As a General LAB Support Hardware Engineer within the Azure SES and Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) team, you will support innovative projects and apply your expertise in a fast paced & technically driven environment. You will work with a diverse set of teams supporting first and third-party designs in an R&D Lab environment, ensuring that lab operations are optimized and tuned to perform in a complex environment while continuing to scale space, capacity, and capability. ResponsibilitiesSupport a variety of project needs such as hardware, racks, networks, infrastructure, racking systems, and power distribution.Support server racks, network connections, and infrastructure problems, maintenance, and management. (SharePoint, VMs, scripts).Train and guide teams on R&D programs and processes.Support OS updates, Firmware upgrades (in-band or out-of-band)Support project execution by checking and testing equipment and configurations according to program requirements.Support liquid cooling solutions and monitoringSolve and support projects (OU creation / Group Policy / MECM / Image builds / Maintenance Automation / Monitoring Automation, Debug and Solutions.Work to improve and meet system operation, capacity, and new capability needs.Join and lead meetings with project and Lab Support teams.
