We are seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager to lead a team of SOC analysts. This is a frontline management position, and will be responsible for the following:

Leading the Team:
You'll be leading a diverse team of security analysts, supporting our mission of "Solving for Safer" by identifying and effectively responding to threats in order to protect our customers.

Day-to-Day Ops:
You will be responsible for daily operations of the security operations team, such as evaluating team member performances, providing technical expertise, providing strategic direction, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Keeping Things Secure:
Enforce organizational policies that align with the company's strategic objectives and compliance requirements. Implement detailed operating procedures to ensure efficient and consistent execution of tasks, contributing to overall operational excellence to protect customer networks from sophisticated and evolving threats.

Ensuring Operational Efficiency:

  • Deliver our cybersecurity expertise to customers.

  • Embrace technological expertise, striving for automation and enhanced efficiency.

  • Foster innovation and a forward-looking perspective.

  • Oversee monthly service reviews to ensure operational alignment and issue resolution.

  • Assume responsibility for operational issues, including incident reports.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Participate in security investigations and incident response.

  • Contribute to the expansion of the SOC and the integration of new products.

Preferred Skills:

  • A comprehensive understanding of information security, operating systems, applications, and networking fundamentals.

  • Proficient technical understanding of modern network security, hardware, protocols, and standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Experience guiding teams, fostering collaboration, achieving objectives, mentoring subordinates, and making critical decisions under pressure.

  • Possesses leadership experience (senior analyst, manager, etc.).

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools, including Cortex XDR, Sentinel One, or Crowdstrike.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers

Target Base Salary Range:$ 110,000-$115,000

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Security or related experience and at least 3 years of experience in a Security Operations, or similar role OR 4+ years experience in a Security Operations, or similar role
  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
