Controls Engineer Support and improve manufacturing equipment and processes in the area of control systems, robotics, and electrical system design. Position will work in concert with Operations, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and Engineering staff to accomplish organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and design systems with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, PowerFlex Drives, Kinetix Servos, FactoryTalk View, Stratix Switches, Micro 820, PanelView 800, or similar electrical components.
- Work from a continuous improvement root cause mindset and support company projects, capital, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate and recommend solutions for production and production-related quality, manufacturing, or process issues.
- Develop controls solutions by studying customer requirements, researching, and testing compliance to operational requirements.
- Provide electrical engineering support and training to the Production and Maintenance staff.
- Suggest potential electrical upgrades and changes for obsolete electrical components.
- Compile documentation and maintain files as required for operation and maintenance of parts and equipment that is designed.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Experience with Solidworks Electrical is a plus.
- May be required to work on off shifts as needed for information gathering, observations, stakeholder meetings, and technical support.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Program Manager and Director of Technical Services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in a related Electrical Engineering field or equivalent education with related experience in engineering, controls, and/or electronics.
- Four or more years in a manufacturing setting with controls and electrical engineering experience. Experience with Solidworks Electrical is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Strong follow-through with the ability to meet planned commitments.
- PLC and HMI programming.
- Ability to manage projects including documentation and communication.
