Consumer Analyst

Job Summary
The Consumer Analyst plays a key role in supporting business decision-making by querying data, conducting basic analysis, and generating client insights. This role also contributes to identifying internal process improvements and researching external market trends to uncover business opportunities and address challenges. The Consumer Analyst is responsible for compiling and analyzing internal and external data to support the development of client insights and business strategies. This role involves working closely with internal teams to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, and occasionally leading small-scale initiatives. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential for success in this position.

Essential Functions

• Compile and provide internal client data to support analytics, reporting, and hypothesis development.
• Conduct and evaluate external market research to inform business opportunities.
• Perform basic analysis to contribute to the generation of client insights.
• Review and recommend improvements to internal processes.
• Facilitate the implementation of small initiatives in collaboration with support partners.
• Assist in preparing presentations for senior leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
• Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience. (preferred)

Work Experience

• A minimum of 1 year experience in financial services (preferred)

Skills

• Developing basic understanding of business partner strategy; building financial acumen
• Developing written and verbal skills; beginning to develop ability to organize information in clear, consistent format; Capacity to develop ability to articulate a clear, well-thought-out message and formal delivery; Skilled in creating PowerPoint presentations
• Work typically assigned by manager; limited business partner interaction; Developing ability to build relationships, partner, and influence
• Interpret and manipulate data to uncover trends and generate actionable insights.
• Analyze customer behavior to inform product development and marketing strategies.
• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Identify opportunities and develop solutions that align with business goals.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $61,000to $85,000annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance
