Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Business Analyst Mid to join our growing team.

The Business Analysis, Mid shall assist in analyzing business problems, identifying gaps, and providing business support in areas around basic to moderate information systems. This role support with several requirements throughout the project life cycle and involves an understanding of applicable business/provider enrollment systems and related subsystems; provide day-to-day support on State program activities.

  • Support requirements and design sessions, including scribing, tracking, and reporting on action items, and helping with client facing requirements/design presentations and demos.
  • Apply business analysis knowledge to review and analyze systems problems to identify solutions.
  • Develop documentation related to moderately complex projects and information systems.
  • Provide support in developing use cases, workflow diagrams, and conducting gap analysis to create or modify requirements documents and design specifications.
  • Analyze user requirements and customer business needs using standard procedures.
  • Ensure bi-directional traceability of requirements.
  • Track and report status of work assignments and escalate issues and risks.
  • Act as a liaison between the technology teams and customer
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of business analysis experience or related work experience.
  • Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge in healthcare industry with knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare verticals.
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, Visio with working knowledge of the rest of the MS-Office suite of applications.
  • Ability to elicit, document, analyze, and verify requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Medicaid best practices for Provider Enrollment, Medicaid Claims processing.
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence applications.
