As a key resource, you will advise managers, employees, and partners on navigating complex cases involving occupational and non-occupational matters, leave management, and accommodations. Your expertise will help ensure seamless case management, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with company policies and collective bargaining agreements. You will play a vital role in supporting employees through processes such as job displacement, interactive accommodations, and return-to-work assignments, with a focus on creating personalized experiences that empower employees to succeed.

In addition to working closely with internal teams, you will act as a liaison with vendors, consultants, and external agencies to ensure accurate data management and effective program delivery. You'll identify opportunities for process improvements, contribute to enterprise projects, and participate in discussions with legal counsel to resolve complex issues and mitigate risks. Your commitment to building strong relationships and delivering timely, accurate service will be central to your success.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in human resources to include performing the interactive process for temporary and long term accommodations and leave management reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of experience in human resources to include performing the interactive process for temporary and long term accommodations and leave management reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates effective communication, consulting, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to create, work with, and influence diverse groups, people, and professionals in various disciplines.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Understanding both federal and state leave laws for California.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, and MS Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Experience with HRIS and Payroll systems (i.e., ADP, etc.)
  • Experience solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Experience using discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

  • This position can be remote within the United States with travel to our Modesto, CA headquarters as needed.
