Divisional Overview

The Research Publishing Group (RPG) within Global Investment Research (GIR) is responsible for ensuring that GIR is able to:



  1. Produce high-quality and compliant research products in a timely manner.
  2. Distribute these products to internal and external clients of Goldman Sachs.


RPG is comprised of two global teams:



  1. The Content Management Group, which reviews and approves research from an editorial and regulatory perspective prior to publication.
  2. The Data Management Group, which manages data associated with the economies, industries, and companies covered by GIR analyst teams, as well as client data. DMG also provides analysis and customized reports for GIR management.


Role Overview

The Data Management team is responsible for managing the publishing workflow of coverage and analyst setups for various disciplines within GIR. This also includes managing research subscriptions and entitlements for clients, maintaining internal databases, and working with GIR Management to enhance research products and infrastructure.

The emphasis in Dallas for this second role will be focused on providing ongoing support for the client reference data in our CRM, consumption reporting, broker vote, managing client access & subscription workflows and coordinating with other Data Management Group team members in Bengaluru.

DMG Job Responsibilities

The team performs data collection, data entry, data quality assurance, data analysis, and reporting functions for key divisional projects, including:



  • Coverage Management: Managing relevant company data in the GIR database, performing data quality checks, and implementing consistent workflows.
  • Client Data Management: Collecting and interpreting client relationship information, ensuring data integrity, supporting client consumption reporting, and managing research subscriptions.
  • Project Management: Supporting different DMG workflow tracks, defining project goals, meeting deadlines, and liaising with stakeholders.
  • Operational Efficiency and Reporting: Identifying automation opportunities, leveraging tools and codes to optimize workflows, and maintaining metrics for reporting.


Basic/Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's or bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of relevant work (or internship) experience
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Advanced technical skills (VBA/Macro/Tableau/Snowflake/Python) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of project management processes
  • Solid understanding of databases and reporting tools
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Good business judgment
  • Ability to problem-solve and resolve complex issues logically
