Overview
Aquent Studios has an ASAP need for a Sr. Packaging Designer! This is about part time hours, about 10-15 (need flexibility) and will go for about 8 to 10 weeks, but looking to establish a relationship for future projects! As the Sr. Packaging Designer, you will be responsible for innovating and developing compelling packaging solutions from concept to final design specification. This role focuses on creative vision, aesthetic appeal, and consumer experience, ensuring designs align with brand identity, market trends, and sustainability goals, while maintaining technical feasibility. Key Responsibilities:
- Concept & Innovation: Generate breakthrough primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging concepts based on briefs and consumer insights. Identify and integrate global packaging trends and sustainable solutions.
- Design Execution: Develop 2D renderings, 3D models, technical drawings. Select appropriate materials for aesthetics, function, cost, and sustainability.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal Creative and Marketing, and other teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. Present concepts and gather feedback.
- Brand & Consumer Focus: Ensure designs reinforce brand identity and enhance consumer experience, focusing on ease of use and sensory appeal.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Industrial, Packaging, or Product Design.
- Experience: 5+ years in packaging design, preferably in beauty, luxury, or FMCG, with a strong portfolio.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), and rendering software. Knowledge of materials and printing techniques.
