As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study. Major of Study Preference: Human Resources Management - with a focus on HR policy, compliance, and organizational behavior. OR Psychology, with an interest in Industrial-Organizational applications - especially how workplace behavior and structure relate to HR compliance and policy.

Project 1: The Intern will work with the HR Regulatory, Compliance, and Governance team to support and administer services for HR compliance policies and related procedures.

  • Collaborate and provide front line support and guidance to managers and Human Resources on compliance and policy related topics.

  • Will interact and provide support for internal customers.

  • Research issues and provides resolutions.

  • Provide organizational support including, but not limited to, auditing and processing various paperwork, forms, records, and data entry.

  • Perform complex personnel/clerical tasks.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Project 2: Leveraging AI to Enhance HR Business Partner Effectiveness

  • Deliver insights on how AI technologies can enhance the HR Business Partner role by enabling data-driven decision-making in workforce analytics, talent planning, and employee engagement to strengthen their strategic influence with business leaders.

  • Provide targeted recommendations for integrating AI tools into core HRBP workflows, ensuring data privacy and effective implementation to optimize HRBP effectiveness and service delivery.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to coordinate and organize multiple functions/activities, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

  • Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other HR business systems/platforms such as Workday, ServiceNow. Familiarity with AI tools used in HR and data analysis

Essential Functions

  • Under close supervision, the successful candidate will gain experience in one or more of the following areas within HR: Organizational Effectiveness, Compensation, Learning and Development, Recruitment, Workforce Strategy and Planning, HR Systems, Employee Relations, Business Consulting, Enterprise Health Care, and HR Analytics.

  • Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience.

  • Participates in various networking and/or community service events.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education

Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Degree: Currently enrolled in aBachelor's degree program such as Human Resources Management, Psychology, Organizational Leadership or Performance, Organizational Management, Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Labor and Employee Relations or other related major.

Minimum Experience

No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and as a part of a team.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.

Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.

Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.

Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, advanced computer skills, familiarity with AI tools used in HR and data analysis. Immigration sponsorship is not available for intern positions. Sponsorship may be available for full-time, exempt positions, depending on the specific role and federal regulations. Note, sponsorship is never guaranteed under any circumstances.

Pay Transparency:

Pay: Salary is $25/hour for undergraduates and $30/hour for graduates. A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an on-site or hybrid internship experience.
