What to Expect
A Claims Innovation Program Managerdevelops, implements, and manages strategies to improve claims processes through new technology and methods. This role requires expertise in insurance, program management, data analysis, and cross-functional leadership. The program manager's main goal is to drive operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and reduce costs.
What You'll Do
- Develop a forward-looking innovation roadmap for the claims department and identify and evaluate emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and automation
- Design, implement, and manage pilot programs or proof-of-concepts to test new technologies and business models. This includes defining success criteria and planning for expansion
- Work closely with teams across the company, such as engineering, product, data science, and claims operations, to develop and execute innovation strategies
- Analyze and enhance existing claims workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvement
- Use claims data and analytics to identify trends, pinpoint opportunities for improvement, and create dashboards to track claims frequency, severity, and loss ratios
- Serve as the central point of contact for innovation programs, managing communications and facilitating decision-making among various stakeholders
- Stay current on industry, market, and technology trends to champion innovative claims processing approaches and techniques
What You'll Bring
- A strong background in insurance, Insurtech, or financial services, with significant experience in claims innovation or transformation
- The ability to evaluate and integrate new technologies, including familiarity with analytics, automation, and AI tools
- Expertise in running complex programs, managing budgets, and overseeing cross-functional projects
- Humility, empathy, and strong influencing skills to gain trust and drive decisions without formal authority
- The ability to articulate a clear strategic vision and present actionable solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- An aptitude for creative thinking and complex problem-solving to address new challenges
- A deep understanding of customer needs and the use of that insight to drive innovation and enhance the customer experience
