As a Summer Associate in our Global Finance department, you'll be part of the team that keeps Capital Group financially strong and future ready. Our Global Finance team partners with other Capital Group departments to proactively provide relevant, timely, and accurate financial reporting and analysis, innovative solutions, and insightful information that impacts business decision-making while protecting company interests. Note: Capital Group's Global Finance department does not manage client investments directly.

Success in this role can lead to a full-time offer as a Financial Analyst based in Irvine, CA.

  • Dive into financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
  • Develop an understanding of business operations and key drivers
  • Gain exposure to financial systems and decision-making processes
  • Seek opportunities to streamline and improve the efficiency of reporting and business processes using data visualization tools
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives that shape our financial strategy
  • Be assigned a summer project and expected to present your work at the end of the summer to senior stakeholders

  • You're currently a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance or related major with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2027
  • You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • You have demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular activities

  • You appreciate the sense of accomplishment achieved when you solve a problem using sound judgment
  • You're energized by opportunities to gather information from a variety of sources, synthesize it, present it in a distilled manner, and impact the outcome

  • You're well-versed in using Excel to create complex formulas and use data visualization tools to present your findings

Hourly Pay Rate: $29/hr

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
