Why Wendy's
The Head of Marketing for Mexico will provide marketing thought leadership by developing strategies that include annual brand plans, creative strategy, and consumer engagement while achieving growth in sales/transactions. They are responsible for driving innovative marketing programs, data-driven insights, and integrative campaigns across digital and traditional channels. They lead Mexico advertising budget inclusive of full-service advertising agency and paid media budget of ~$2M USD. The HEad of Marketing - Mexico is accountable for development of marketing calendar, consumer insights, product line innovation, pricing strategies and brand sponsorships. They will lead and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver project initiatives. They are a key marketing partner to Franchisees developing business relationships while driving alignment and marketing initiatives at the local level. Responsibilities
  • Develops initiatives to increase sales, transactions, and profitability while proposing strategies and tactics that deliver brand initiatives. Projects include the development of annual marketing calendars, menu development, and pricing strategies.
  • Manage full service agency inclusive of budget that supports creative, community management, paid media strategies, and organic social. This role also includes management of brand sponsorships and collaborations.
  • Leads multi-projects across Menu Innovation/Optimization, Supply Chain, and consumer insights while prioritizing for self and as people manager.
  • Cultivate and strengthen business relationships with local Franchisees while supporting the local marketing teams to enhance local initiatives.
  • Owns Budget management for advertising fund.


What we expect from you
  • Bachelor's degree is required; MBA is preferred.
  • +5 years' experience in brand marketing strategy, media, innovation protocols, research and financial acumen. Experience of multi-market international role/environment and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of the competitive environment and impact of the economic landscape
  • Ability to build relationships, manage and influence franchisees, and cross-functional peers to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Essential skill sets would include strategic orientation, flexibility/adaptability, leadership and problem solving.
  • Experience in Global QSR brands is required.

Expected Work Location (Remote): It is expected that you will primarily perform work remotely. You may be asked to travel, as needed, to the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center (RSC) (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017), or to other location(s) as designated by the Company. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Remote
