Responsibilities
  • Design and document mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and control systems for aviation, education, civic, tribal, commercial, and federal facilities.
  • Produce drawings, specifications, diagrams, 3D models, and reports that align with project goals.
  • Perform calculations such as load analysis, energy modeling, and equipment sizing.
  • Apply building codes, ASHRAE standards, and industry guidelines to ensure functional, compliant solutions.
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and team coordination efforts.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
  • Support QA/QC efforts and construction administration activities, including submittal reviews and site observations.
  • Lead project documentation and mentor junior staff (mid- and senior-level roles).

Qualifications
  • Entry-Level / EIT: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, FE exam passed, 0-2 years of experience.
  • Mid-Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, FE exam passed and actively pursuing PE licensure, 5+ years of progressive experience, demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and coordinate small to mid-scale projects.
  • Senior Engineer: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, active PE license, 10+ years of progressive experience leading mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, documentation standards, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Experience in sectors such as aviation, civic, commercial, tribal, mission critical, or federal work is highly valued.
