Develop your engineering career at JLL! We we are looking for an MEP Facilities Engineer. You will work as part of an engineering & facilities team at 3.6 million square feet client campus managed by JLL.

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 | IBM Poughkeepsie campusWork Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMAdditional Perks: 7.50% annual salary bonus, company provided cell phone, laptop, Flex PTO Estimated compensation: $95K -$115K The compensation range listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. Mechanical Engineer position working on Mechanical Facilities Systems (HVAC, Chilled Water, Steam, Compressed Air, Boilers). Position will include: Project estimating both high level estimates and detailed estimates, Scope of Work development, Design, Field Coordination on construction projects, interacting with Mechanics and contractors, Project administration and other associated mechanical project work.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Plans, organizes, and directs engineering projects within budget while maintaining excellence standards and managing workload/forecasts
  • Reviews and approves engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and technical studies from other engineers and designers
  • Maintains client relationships through regular communication, conference representation, and ensuring satisfactory progress of deliverables
  • Develops and implements strategic improvements including site assessments, cost reduction initiatives, new methods/techniques, and supplier collaborations
  • Provides engineering support to Project Managers and establishes technical design criteria for mechanical systems
  • Prepares engineering estimates for planning purposes and budget development
  • Requires strong communication skills and proficiency with spreadsheets, word processors, email, and PC applications

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Facility (building) and mechanical systems including commercial, office, laboratory, and critical system facilities.
  • Concentration of work will be related to all Mechanical Systems, Central Utility Plant (CUP), CHW, Steam, HVAC, Compressed Air and boilers, CUP auxiliary equipment, fire systems, hydraulic piping systems and Instrumentation/Controls systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous military experience is a plus including Army Prime Power, Navy ET/Nuke, Air Force HVAC/Power Pro Electrician
  • Construction or Facilities experience or internship is a plus.
  • Knowledge and use of AutoCAD is desired.

Estimated compensation for this position:

95,000.00 - 115,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
