Requirements

From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Sr. Project Manager. This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, justifying, coordinating, and following up on projects that focus on production growth and/or projects that optimize existing production and packaging lines.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include.

* Develops project costing for budget review and approval.

* Prepares P&IDs, layouts, production time schedules, technical descriptions, function descriptions, value calculations, and selects appropriate bids, equipment, vendors, and sub-contractors.

* Ensures activities and projects are started and completed within the set timetable.

* Maintains accurate and up to date project files and drawings.

* Identifies and corrects safety, ergonomic, and operational problems through proper design of equipment.

* Promotes inter-plant communication and provides technical support on an as-needed basis.

* Develops and distributes a monthly progress and project status report.

* Follows up with facility team leaders on continuous cost reduction and process improvement ideas.

* Displays a broad knowledge in dairy, equipment, and processes and continually updates knowledge to stay current on developments.

* Performs design work including researching data, conducting feasibility, and economic studies, and determining design criteria in accordance with required standards for assigned projects.

* Reads, analyzes, and interprets a variety of instructions, manuals, and procedures in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.

* Performs administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely, and professional manner (phone calls, voice mail, paperwork, meetings).

* Travel and / or extended or off work hours may be required.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education:

* Bachelor's Degree in Technical/Engineering preferred.

Experience:

* 3 -5 years' experience in an engineering project manager role

* Dairy or other food-related experience preferred

* Broad level of experience in managing complex projects and installations.

Specialized Knowledge:

* Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook

* AutoCAD

* Rockwell software
