Role: Supplier Trade Compliance Analyst

Job Description

The Procurement Compliance Analyst will work with the supply base to collect, analyze & store trade & compliance data, interface with sale to provide supplier data needed for OEM customer tariff recovery. This role will also manage and develop systems to improve efficiency of data storage and retrieval, data analysis and submission timing to internal customers.

Responsibilities



  • Build a process to track/reconcile supplier imports to tariff payments by supplier.
  • Obtain evidence (Commercial Invoices / CBP 7501 forms) for each entry.
  • Consolidate evidence documents in organized manner to handoff to Commercial team
  • Monitor monthly tariff processing to ensure costs hit appropriate sites/periods
  • Maintain the Tariff calculator for updates to part data (HTS Codes, USMCA Status, Steel COO, volume and pricing) used to calculate tariffs.
  • Maintain the Tariff Index with supplier tariff survey updates for new part additions or tariff and price changes from suppliers
  • Act as primary point of contact for finance and sales to report on status of Supplier Importer of Record tariff payments to suppliers
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in trade regulations to ensure correctness of submissions


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain or a related discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 years of experience in OE Automotive Supplier environment.
  • Strong background with Microsoft Office applications; Excel required. Excel Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Spreadsheets, etc.
  • Prefer experience in SAP and/or Oracle ERP systems.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, pressurized environment. Ability to adapt to situational demands of the business in meeting critical deadlines.
  • Must be self-directed, high-energy individual with the ability to problem solve and follow through on all items to completion.
