Position Summary Working under the guidance of the Senior Director of Information Security and Systems, the Senior Systems Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Databrary platform's mission to enable secure, ethical sharing and reuse of research video data. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the monitoring and maintenance of Databrary's core infrastructure, with emphasis on security log review and incident escalation. The role will lead technical remediation efforts, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. Working under the guidance of Databrary leadership and coordinating the efforts of Steinhardt Technology Services, NYU IT, and external consultants, this position serves as Project Manager to ensure that Databrary's services remain reliable, performant, and compliant with university standards. Responsibilities include day-to-day monitoring of Linux-based systems, monitoring of load balancers, reviewing security logs across all components, and supporting compliance with privacy, security, and data-sharing standards. The incumbent will also identify infrastructure-related risks, respond to incidents, and engage appropriate teams when specialized support is needed. The role will include quality assurance testing to ensure functionality and support the overall user experience. This is a one year fixed term role. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
