Job Description:

The School District of Milton is seeking a flexible, adaptable, and student-centered individual for a Health Aide position that will support multiple district sites. The position will begin as soon as possible and will follow a schedule of 8 hours per day, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (40 hours per week).

The starting wage is $18.35 per hour, with additional compensation available for candidates who have prior health aide experience in a public-school setting. A highly competitive benefits package is also included.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have experience in a medical setting and be able to provide medical support to students, maintain accurate health and medical documentation, and perform basic medical treatments as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of first aid and hold current CPR and AED certification. Success in this role requires excellent organizational skills, confidentiality, attention to detail, and strong written, oral, and computer communication skills. The ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, parents/guardians, and medical professionals is essential, as is the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working with school-age children is desirable, and additional skills such as supporting students with Type 1 diabetes and administering medications are considered a plus. The position also requires the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
