Job Description:

Where Your Career is a Force for Good

You will oversee program technologies to ensure successful implementation and alignment with defined objectives. Establish and optimize processes to enhance control and efficiency across assigned systems. Develop and apply process control measures to ensure systems and workflows support business goals. Provide strategic planning, design, and implementation support within the designated program area. Offer guidance, development, and leadership support to volunteers engaged in program activities.

What You Need to Know

  • Deliver expert technical guidance in the design, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and field projects.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and lead within your functional area. Cultivate and maintain partnerships with government agencies, local communities, and external organizations to advance programming efforts in your area of expertise.
  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities to support program initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior program leadership to develop compelling proposals that secure funding.
  • Provide specialized training to field and headquarters staff involved in initiatives related to your functional area.
  • May be deployed to project sites to conduct needs assessments, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Develop and implement policies that support the organization's strategic goals and initiatives within your functional area.
  • Supervise assigned functional advisors and lead program activities, including coordination of personnel and operations.
  • May engage and manage additional technical advisors to conduct assessments, establish baseline data, and oversee program monitoring.

The salary range for this position is $75K (prorated). This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role

What You Need to Succeed

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or other advanced education may be necessary depending on the technical expertise required. Professional certification may be required based on functional specialization.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Management Experience: Not applicable.
  • Skills & Abilities: May require fluency in a second language and the ability to obtain government security clearance. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in computer applications. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Travel: Travel may be required.

Note: A combination of education and general experience may fulfill requirements, provided the total years meet the minimum threshold. Management experience cannot be substituted.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here represent those necessary to perform the essential functions of the role. While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands for handling or feeling, and communicate verbally. Frequent reaching with hands and arms is expected. Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 30 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment typically involves moderate noise (e.g., office setting with computers, phones, printers, and light foot traffic). The employee must be able to work in a small cubicle and remain seated at a computer for extended periods.

Part Time/Temporary: 20/week (prorated salary)- This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
