Job Title: Research Assistant I Department: Biomedical Sciences College/Division: School Of Medicine Primary Job Posting Location: Columbus, GA 31901 Additional Job Posting Locations: (Other locations that this position could be based) Job Details: The School of Medicine on the Columbus, Georgia campus is searching for a Research Assistant I. Responsibilities: The Research Assistant will work with the Principle Investigator in a very collaborative and team-based atmosphere. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and show evidence of keen interest in biomedical research. They will have the aptitude and aspiration to learn new skills and work well with others. The Research Assistant, under the direct supervision of the PI, will be responsible for rodent surgery, running animals for studies, helping with breeding colony and wet lab related activities such as immunofluorescence and microscopy. Qualifications: The Research Assistant I position requires a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences or a related field from an accredited college/university and some research experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
