Responsibilities
What You'll Do as a Billing Specialist
As a Billing Specialist at Lewis Services, you'll:
Verify and analyze weekly payroll data to ensure accuracy
Analyze timesheets, including revenue and equipment usage Distribute information to field personnel as it relates to their area of responsibility Work closely with Revenue Cycle Specialists to resolve problems impacting employees, customers, or internal teams Produce timely and accurate customer invoices according to contract requirements Process requested reports accurately and efficiently Review files and documents to retrieve and reconcile invoices, data, and reports Complete accurate and efficient data entry Assist with the development and implementation of improved billing processes Ensure billing functions are completed accurately within deadlines and per customer contract terms Report on outstanding account statuses to supervisors Train new employees on billing systems (ERP, data collection tools, Tiempo) Create, review, and reconcile billing of utilities Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a positive partner experience Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred) 2+ years of experience in accounting, billing, or a related field Strong communication skills with attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP or accounting software Strong business sense and ability to work in a high-volume transaction environment Effective problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong typing, grammar, spelling, math, and computer skills
Preferred:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience with customer billing in utilities, construction, or service-based environments Bilingual (Spanish - written and spoken)

Sit at a desk for extended periods of time Use hands and fingers to operate office equipment and perform filing tasks Reach with hands and arms to access files and lower cabinets Occasionally lift and move items up to 25 lbs
