Description

This is an excellent opportunity in the HR Department supporting employees of WBI Energy, MDU Resources, and the MDU Utilities Group which includes Montana-Dakota Utilites Co., Great Plains Natural Gas, Intermountain Gas and Cascade Natural Gas. This position's main responsibilities include support of Recruitment and Employee Onboarding, Organizational Development, managing the pre-employment check process and General Office building support. Serves as a first point of contact for HR customer service for internal and external customers, responding to general questions and directing customers to the appropriate staff. Responsible for document preparation, file maintenance, training and meeting coordination, General and Corporate office support and a variety of self-contained HR functional support responsibilities.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must possess a working knowledge of office procedures and software at a level normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree in a business or office related discipline and
  • Two years' experience providing administrative support.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • This position is located in Bismarck, ND.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • May be required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Prior Human Resources work experience or post-secondary education.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide first point of contact customer service for Human Resources department, front desk, answer phone calls, greet office visitors, employees, respond to general customer questions.
  • Support the general administrative needs of the Human Resources Department and other internal departments.
  • Maintain paper and electronic filing systems, assuring compliance with retention schedules.
  • Provide logistical planning, coordination and support for departmental and General/Corporate office meetings and events.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
