Description and Requirements
Responsibilities

Production Scheduling

  • Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources and on-time delivery of customer orders.

  • Adjust and optimize schedules in response to demand changes, supply disruptions, or capacity constraints.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

  • Communicate schedule updates, priorities, and potential risks to stakeholders.

Process Monitoring & Efficiency

  • Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

  • Analyze production workflows and recommend improvements to increase throughput, reduce downtime, and enhance resource utilization.

Inventory & Materials Management

  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to balance supply and demand.

  • Partner with procurement to forecast material needs, minimize shortages, and reduce excess inventory.

On-Time Delivery & Resource Optimization

  • Ensure products are delivered on schedule while maintaining cost efficiency.

  • Optimize labor, equipment, and material usage to meet production goals.

Manufacturing Metrics & Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on key manufacturing metrics (e.g., OEE, cycle time, yield, scrap, capacity utilization).

  • Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement process improvements.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.

  • Strong knowledge of production control principles, capacity planning, and inventory management.

  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).

  • Ability to analyze production data and identify trends to improve performance.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience managing metrics such as OEE, takt time, and throughput.

  • Background in high-mix, low- to mid-volume production environments.

  • Familiarity with advanced planning and scheduling tools.
