Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX and Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise to facilitate investigation of complex production/technical issues Use technical knowledge to provide solutions to complex issues in a timely and efficient manner Take part in production support rotation, and responding and resolving production problems Provide coaching and mentoring for other associates Work under minimal supervision Provide Incident and Problem Management support of GWIM Platforms Keep current with emerging technologies and lead implementation efforts as applicable Work activities include Problem/Incident Management, Operational Readiness, Application Monitoring, Service Analytics and Reporting, Production Governance, Triage, Associate Support, Change Configuration Management Take ownership of escalations and perform trouble shooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and programming skills Requirements: 5+ years hands on experience in (COBOL) developer experience in following COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, IMS DB , IMS DC , MQ Series, Easytrieve Experience in Endeavor, IBM problem determination tools such as File manager, Fault analyzer Experience in Production Support, change management and use of incident management tools High technical skills to support multiple applications and build SME level of knowledge Possess strong understanding of technical and subject matter expertise that can be leveraged to identify and resolve issues in a timely fashion Ability to proactively contribute to Problem management Experience solving 'production down' situations under SLA deadlines, leading to and including root cause and problem resolution follow-up Meeting facilitation and discussion moderation skills Proactive in identifying, escalating, and addressing project issues and risks Experience in coordinating with offshore/onshore teams and delegating work Excellent Problem Solving skills and an Entrepreneurial Attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exposure to REXX Experience with banking or financial industry Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
