Managing Director, Poison Control Center Poison Control Full Time 86267BR Job Summary The Managing Director, Poison Control Center serves as the senior manager and supervisor for the San Francisco Division (poison center) of the California Poison Control System (CPCS). Responsible for the performance and quality of work of Certified Specialists in Poison Information (clinical pharmacists and nurses) and Poison Information Providers. This position requires expertise and experience in clinical toxicology and the management of poisoned patients. Will work closely with the Division Medical Director and the statewide management team of the CPCS. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the poison center including service delivery, physical plant and all applicable policies and procedures as well as accreditation and regulatory requirements and quality improvement activities. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $254,900 - $278,500 (Annual Rate). It is designated by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority as California's sole poison control center, and is managed by the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Pharmacy, Department of Clinical Pharmacy.
